Asoproeza: A commitment to visionary agriculture

In 2012, ASOPROEZA was born in the village of La Esperanza; an association of banana producers that seeks to reduce economic dependence on coffee activity and consolidate a new, more profitable, stable and competitive business idea.

ASOPROEZA is a clear example of the benefits of cooperative work and the union of 45 ambitious and visionary farmers from eastern Caldas, who have consolidated an admirable business model, also providing the opportunity for small producers in the region to get involved by marketing their products in external markets and improving their living conditions.

With average sales of 5 tons of plantains every two weeks, ASOPREZA not only benefits the 45 families in the association, but also promises to boost the local and regional economy of eastern Caldas.
