Capable hands, was born in 2019 by the initiative of Luz Piedad Llano, motivated by her sister Liliana who has a disability and who has usually been excluded from the workplace.

Luz Piedad went further and not only tried to generate an alternative source of income for her sister, but also for six other women who share the same situation. Leidy, Mónica, Valentina, Luz, Claudia, and Gloria are the hands behind the products.

These 7 women meet twice a week and work at the home of Luz Piedad, who learns the art through tutorials and passes it on to the rest of the group.

Luz Piedad wants to instill in those who buy the product the idea that physical limitations are not an impediment to entrepreneurship, that it is possible to integrate people with disabilities into the workforce, and how feeling valued and productive fills their souls with happiness.
