Yorlady: A story of resilience and struggle
Colchas de Amor has been the opportunity life gave me to share, learn, and grow as a woman, discovering my abilities, accepting and loving myself just as I am. Thank you to the Acesco Foundation for believing in me and for guiding me to fulfill all my dreams.
Yorlady Cardona, a resilient and determined woman, who at 43 years of age and together with her two children, faces life's challenges with dignity every day and demonstrates in each of her actions that limitations are in the mind.
Yorlady is an exemplary mother, but above all she is a woman worthy of admiration, whom nothing and no one hinders in the course of her life; despite having a physical disability that has made it difficult for her to get a stable job, it has never stopped her.
That is why, for the past three years, she has found in Colchas de Amor a space for self-reflection and recreation, where she can break from routine and find herself.
